When you subscribe to Uni-Plus e-mail service, you get the added advantage of being able to check your messages through Web access by using any computer in the world hooked up to the Web.
Unlike your local telephone company, Uni-Plus can also offer you fixed IPs on your residential DSL connection. High-speed connections vary from 1.5Mbps to 4.5Mbps depending on your location.
Facts about DSL Modems
Did you know that the DSL package that you subscribe to from your phone company bundles into the price the rental of your high-speed modem? Your phone company charges you between $5.00 and $10.00 per month for DSL modem rental each and every month; you have no option! With Uni-Plus, you buy the modem, either from Uni-Plus or any retail outlet that sells DSL modems. Why perpetually pay for the modem?
Should you wish to purchase your own DSL modem, Uni-Plus can sell an industry standard unit for $199.00. You may also check with any electronics retail outlet for other models that are compatible with the DSL network.
No installation charge on DSL modems
For a limited period of time (subject to change without notice) the installation charges for a DSL connection are free. However, high-speed cable modems connections are subject to installation and modem purchase charges.
Reasonable activation lead-time
Upon receipt of your request, DSL service can be activated within 10 working days. Add 5 extra working days for high-speed cable service installation.
