"Pirelli (cables division) operates three plants and four sales offices in Canada. Five years ago, our Treasury department migrated our accounting system to a global version of SAP, to allow our plants and various operations to control materials and manufacturing costs on a global basis. When posting invoices, this new system requires us to allocate costs according to very specific indices. Uni-Plus produces our invoices according to our posting SAP accounts, which indicate the global cost of our telecoms for the month and features a consolidated report by posting accounts, as well as a summary report indicating overall tax allocation; the detail of charges for each account is included with our monthly invoice."
